Well Hay !!!

After we visited Pura Lempuyang we decided to find another tourism object nearby and still in the East part of Bali, the exact location is in Karangasem Regency. Yap, we found Tirtha Gangga as our next destination. For those who want to read my story in Pura Lempuyang, please read this useless story, Pura Lempuyang, The Ancient Hindu Temple.

Just like the title of this story, you guys have to visit this place because you will never get bored, just like what I feel. I’ve been here for 5 times and I never get bored, trust me, it’s a nonsense shit! There is no such a thing like that, nobody will never still get excited, when they have been to a place for 5 fuckin times. It’s a bullshit, if there is anyone tell you about the same thing as the title of this story, just tell them to keep it for themself.

Let’s straight to the point, yes, we finally did it, we arrived at Tirtha Gangga after a short visit to one of the greatest mother temple in Bali. It took about 25 minutes from Pura Lempuyang, and again at the parking lot we decided to visit a small warung to had some lunch, I chose Fried Noodle plus Rice (Double Carbohydrate) as my lunch, a typical Indonesian favorite menu.

After we finished our lunch, we went directly to the entrance, along the way to the entrance we saw a lot of traditional merchandise shops, they usually sell traditional handy craft, Traditional Fabrics with unique motives, Bracelets, Necklaces, Key Chain, Clothes, Dream Catcher, Imagination Slayer, Dragon Stones, Clarity, Enchanted Manggo, Healing Salve, Gauntlets of Strength, Bra of The Darkness and of course Fish Food.

The Enterance

What the fuck, are they one of the merchant in DOTA 2 ? and what the fuck is Bra of The Darkness ? is it a bra that come from the dark or is it Haede’s Bra ? why would’ve they sell fish food ?

Well I cannot answer the other 3 questions, but I can answer your last. The answer is because you will see a lot of Koi Fish wandering around the ponds inside this beautiful place and you need to help them to feed the fish and of course if you wanna feed them, then you should buy the fish food for Rp. 5000 for the biggest bundle, and Rp. 3000 for the smallest one.

Believe me these kids, they don’t want to feed the Koi Fish, They are a bit busy with their smart phones

What’s inside Tirtha Gangga

Tirtha Gangga is a former palace built in 1946 by the Royal Family of Karangasem Kingdom, and of course from what I heard and learned there is no more such Kingdoms in Bali since the last All-out war (Perang Puputan) with the Dutch in Klungkung (1908), because Klungkung was the last Kingdom Standing from the seven kingdoms which once existed in Bali. The war had ended up the era of the 7 kingdoms in Bali, then the Dutch started to governed the Island by appointing a representative from every Royal Family as regents to rule every district in Bali. So that is why I said that there is no more Kingdoms in Bali since 1908 because Royal Families during that time had no more power to governed their territories according to their rules and traditional law.

Since it was a residence of the Karangasem Royal Family, the architecture of this place is so amazing, mostly this place has the common Balinese Architecture complete with Statues, Ponds, and Fountains. These 3 main elements are what make Tirtha Gangga as one of the favorite place objects for local and foreign tourists.

The air in this park is so cool because it is located at foot of The Mighty Agung Mountain, the highest mountain in Bali. Surrounded by green trees and the country atmosphere make this place even more perfect. Foto Gunung Agung.

You can also walk over the pond using Ninjutsu Techniques. All right that’s bullshit, well, there are several footholds that are neatly arranged around the pond so you can step on it to feed the fish or even you can take cool pictures in the middle of the pond. Since it is the best spot to take some pictures, make sure you won’t miss it.

Things to Do

Just like I said before, you can take some cool pictures, choose any spot that you wanna use because in this place there are more than one photo spot, so use your instinct to find the perfect one right there.

Fish Feeding !!! Don’t forget to buy some fish foods to feed the Fish, there are several kinds of fish over there, but the most beautiful one is the Magical Koi Fish, I heard that this kind of fish has a long lifespan, It is hard to take care of them because they need to live in the flowing water and of course the water also has to be clean and pure, so that is why the environment right there is perfect for them, because the water in each pond comes from the natural springs underground and it keeps flowing every day.

Hmm I wonder if i can bring some of these Koi Fish to my home, I’m still thinking how to catch them without being beaten by the local people

Swimming !!! Yap, besides fish pond, in Tirtha Gangga there are also swimming pools. Isn’t it cool? Sir yes sir!!! I didn’t go swimming on that day, but before that, I never forgot to bring a change of clothes and missed the chance to swim. I do really recommend you to swim in the swimming pool because the water also comes from the natural spring, so the water is so damn pure and cold, of course, there is still piss inside it, but what’s amazing is, there is no any chemical stuffs inside the pond. Holly molly.

Location and How to Get There

Tirtha Gangga is located in Jl. Abang – Amlapura, Ababi, Abang Village, Karangasem Regency. Here is the map:

This place is easy to find, from Denpasar it will take around 2 hours to reach the place, simply by passing through the highway Bypass Ida Bagus Mantra to Candidasa Beach, and keep following the road signs. You need to pass Bali Safari and Marine Park, Goa Lawah Temple, and Candidasa Beach before you arrive at Tirtha Gangga.

My Pretty Wise Advice

  • Don’t forget to bring a change of clothes if you want to swim in the swimming pool;
  • This place is match up with the one who wants to relax and enjoy their holiday, so don’t bring your annoying girlfriend, don’t even think to bring your miserable dog to this place, but if your grandma is a cool grandma then you should ask her to come, because the green atmosphere in this place just fits in with old people;
  • Please don’t pee in the swimming pool and make the pool contaminated by your disgusting urine. I’ve done it once, and It felt so good because the water is so cold, and I couldn’t hold it passing through my Handsome Bob.

Well this place is absolutely something different if you compare it with the other tourism object in the busy place such like Kuta, Canggu, Seminyak dan Nusa Dua. Although I have been here for 5 times and I’m pretty bored with this place, but the atmosphere of this place cannot hold me to visit Tirtha Gangga, again and again.

It’s me Aditya, see ya !!!
